«There is a mathematical need for provocation in thinking because self-organising systems reach stable states of local equilibrium. Provocation is, of course, one of the tools of lateral thinking. Provocation, however, can only work if we develop the skill of ‘movement’. This is totally different from judgement and is essentisl for creativity. Nowhere in education is this skill addressed because education is solely about the truth and not about ‘possibility’. Without possibility there is no creativity.
